It is important that the voices in the Black Community are heard on the major issues of our day. Instead of submitting to caricatures that have been used to describe us and drive us into silence when we disagree. We need to develop a forum, a think tank in which the Community can participate. In this way we can avoid always being told what we should think, or or submitting to being molded into a social mindset embraced by only some people in our Community.
This blog will share perspectives on a variety of issues including: the Christian religion, the exclusion of the contributions of Black people to the historical development of of societies across the world, the attitudes of our Community on the LGBTQ+ community and how it impacts the concept of being Black, the understanding of ourselves and our practices; economics, politics, mass incarceration, violence, immorality and American civil liberties.
We ask that everyone participate with respect for the being and opinions of others, as we commit ourselves to honestly evaluate each person's position. We may not always agree, but we do not have to be disagreeable.
Blessing, Love and Peace to You!
